Mirror, Mirror on the Wall are you my friend or are you my foe?

Do you realize a mirror does not work if there is not a light present to reflect an image?  It is only with light and a transparent piece of glass coated on one side with a thin coating of a silver metal that we are able to see our image in a mirror.  Have you ever looked hard in the mirror to try and capture, "Who am I, really?!"  Look in the mirror a few moments and then turn away. Now describe what you thought you saw in the mirror.  James 1:18 says,"He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all He created...v23 Anyone who listens to the word, but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like."
Look up the word "light" in the concordance at the back of your bible..  There are 65 entries from Genesis to Revelations referencing light. You will see God's light reflects our true image.  It is God's light within us that defines us as Children of the King of Kings.  The brightness of your reflection lies in your association with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Here is my blog challenge!
"The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light…clothe yourself with the Lord, Jesus Christ." Romans 13:12
Each day as the darkness disappears, I would like to look to the light of God's word to define and clothe us for the day.  Let's search God's word for a one or two word association that says I am… according to the light, according to His word.  Once the word or words are published on the blog, write that word or words on your mirror with a dry erase pen.  You may want to also write the scripture reference.  Over time we will completely cover the mirror with the only light that is able to reflect our true image of Him within us.  Are you brave enough to cover your mirror?  What if it becomes difficult to see yourself in the mirror? That is ultimate for what I call being transparent! Are you challenged to follow the blog?
